He brings a wealth of experience, strong business acumen and a passion for delivering value and outstanding client service, which ensures clients’ expectations are surpassed.

  • Catherine Becker - Deputy Managing Director

    Catherine Becker | Chief Operating Officer

    Catherine joined AdConnection having held senior roles in the big global agencies such as Zenith Optimedia, Y&R and JWT. She runs the agency with Declan and has built a strong planning and research team based on her marketing expertise and in depth knowledge of the fast moving media landscape. To date, Catherine has been the recipient of many industry awards including the coveted Campaign Magazine Media Awards for her work on Chip & Pin and The Media & Marketing Awards for Ford. Her passion for creative and standout media has lead to her developing the first scented poster for Del Monte and inventing the now ubiquitous Share Square site in newspapers.

  • Elliot Parkus - Media Director

    Elliot Parkus | Media Director

    Elliot brings almost 20 years of media experience to AdConnection, with the majority spent at Publicis Groupe media agencies Starcom MediaVest and Zenith Optimedia. He has worked on some of the UK's biggest media accounts, including BT, BMW, Mars Masterfoods, Scottish&Newcastle/Heineken UK, Premier Foods and Samsung. In 2009, he created and launched SMG Sports, a joint venture between Starcom MediaVest and Sports Revolution to provide sport led solutions to clients communications challenges. Outside of work Elliot is no stranger to pain and suffering as a lifelong Spurs supporter and season ticket holder.

  • Nick Baum - Client Services Director

    Nick Baum | Client Services Director

    Nick's media background spans both the media owner and media agency sides of the business. Starting out his media life at the Sunday Times he switched to the agency side, most recently working for West End agency Carat. Nick's generally an easy going chap apart from the odd occasion when he's mistaken for 80's comedy icon Russ Abbott.

  • Alan Williams - Director

    Alan Williams | Director

    Alan is a media buying old hand, having been in the industry for 10 years. Alan relishes a challenge, in his spare time he can be found honing his skills on the golf course, his latest passion. He'll challenge you to a game, but be warned he's not very good.

  • Stephanie May - Account Director

    Stephanie May | Group Account Director

    Keen not to pursue a career in her degree discipline (Economics - yawn!), Stephanie became a Chartered Marketer, and gained experience both client side and in media agencies before joining AdConnection. After a long day planning, she fine tunes her negotiations skills on her punchbag (leather, not human) or releases the daily stress on the dancefloor of ceroc classes around London.

    Jules joins Adconnection with 5 years search experience, managing and developing strategies for a broad spectrum of high profile clients across a number of sectors including travel, retail, technology & recruitment. A self-confessed excel geek, when not knee deep in spread sheets, he can usually be found bopping to the sounds of his favourite DJ's in the clubs of South London, or cheering on his favourite rugby team (Munster) either from the stands or in the comfort of his local boozer

  • Zain Mughal - Finance Controller

    Zain Mughal | Finance Controller

    Having started out his accountancy career at Ford Retail, Zain soon moved into the media world to head up AdConnection's finance team. When not keeping a watchful eye over the agencies books, Zain can usually be found playing cricket, going on slightly ill advised road trips or spending time with his wife and three children.

  • Kim Armiger - Tim Carr

    Tim Carr | Account Director

    Tim started his media career 25-years ago with JWT in the Middle East working on passenger and cargo campaigns for Emirates Airline from launch. Having honed his negotiation skills in the souks of Dubai, Tim returned to the UK to join Carat International and since then, has worked with agencies across a huge variety of consumer and B2B sectors worldwide including such varied briefs as pet food in England, new film launches in Israel, spread betting in Singapore and jet maintenance in Ireland. When he's not emailing all corners of the globe, Tim likes to read and fly light aircraft, although not always at the same time.

  • Ellen Birchenough - Media Manager

    Ellen was drawn to the bright lights of London to join Sky Media as an Airtime Management Executive. She then moved agency side to MEC where she worked on a number of large clients including Nintendo. Ellen brings with her 5 years of broadcast experience but when she's not analysing the TV marketplace you can find her down the local Northern Soul Night trying to do a spin or 2 or eating salted popcorn at the cinema.

    Magda is originally from Poland and now lives and works in London. As AdConnection's longest serving employee Magda has worked in almost every role that the company has offered. Now a media manager with 6 years experience, Magda is the agency's authority on the burgeoning mobile and web 2.0 sectors. Away from the agency she's an enthusiastic and active traveler always looking for her next snowboarding or diving fix.

    Having previously worked at IDS for a number of years on the media owner side, Tim brings with him a wealth of experience and knowledge in the ever evolving TV marketplace as well as a wider understanding of the media landscape. When not plying his trade with our numerous clients, Tim is usually impressing with his thrown together jamie oliver-esque lunches and selections on the office Spotify playlist.

    Kim started her career in marketing 5 years ago. Her experience stems from new business to Senior Account Management. She has been studying with the CIM for the past 2 years. Outside of work Kim can be found in the weirdest of bars dotted around Shoreditch testing out the latest cocktails.

    Lorraine has travelled extensively and has a broad range of experiences from surfing in Hawaii to haggling in the markets of Morocco. We're pleased to say that the only surfing she's doing these days is on the internet seeking new opportunities for clients, whilst her haggling is restricted to driving down advertising rates for clients.

    After spending his more youthful years in his much beloved Brighton, Charlie graduated from Manchester Metropolitan University with a first class degree in Marketing. His previous experience includes marketing roles in the film industry, promoting independent film screenings using all forms of media. Now at AdConnection, Charlie works across the board dealing with all types of media channels and campaigns. When not at work, you can usually find him lurking in lesser known bars around Brick Lane or annoying people who are shorter than him at various music venues around the East End.

  • Laurence Somerfield - Media Executive

    After graduating from the University of Exeter with an M.A distinction in Classics, Laurence gained his first role within the media industry as a research assistant at ids. Having gained experience analysing spreadsheets full of data, Laurence joined Adconnection at the start of the year in order to learn and work across all media. As an individual, you can normally find in one of London’s many museums or either find him reading history books, enjoying rugby or watching a combination of Gladiator, IClaudius or Rome.

    Dave joined AdConnection in August 2010 as a Senior Search Executive. With an Advertising and Marketing master's degree from the University of Leeds, and a strong background of all things digital, Dave's passion for online Marketing can only be matched by his supported football team, Arsenal! As a self-confessed tech-geek, Dave thrives on the latest technology and digital improvements, using this information to take campaigns to the next level. If the geek-speak gets too much, he's fluent in sign language too!

    Back at the agency after a short spell away, Helen is enjoying her new role as EA to Declan and Catherine. Having been with agency since 2004, Helen is no stranger to the world of media. When Helen isn’t being a busy Mum, she likes nothing better than relaxing with a chilled glass of fizz, all the more enjoyable in the sunshine at her pad in Cyprus.

    After a few years of work in several different industries, Ania was attracted by the bright lights and giddy world of media. Her masters in Economics makes her a whizz with spreadsheets! Though she’s been in the country for a few years now, she still delights in spending every weekend out discovering the quirky delights that London has to offer.

As a real life EastEnder, Lillie is never short of an amusing anecdote, and knows all the best pie and mash shops in London.

    Elena is a recent member of the finance team. She gained her accounting experience in UK and in her home country Bulgaria, as well as through completing Masters degree in banking and finance from European Business School London. After a long day over the books she can be found dancing or playing volleyball.
